Dear Friends & Family,
I am raising funds again for the National AIDS Memorial’s team at AIDS Walk San Francisco on Sunday July 14th. Since 1987, AIDS Walk San Francisco has raised $92 million for HIV/AIDS organizations in the Bay Area, and ours has been the top fundraising team for the past three years!
The National AIDS Memorial is a 10-acre national memorial dedicated to all lives touched by AIDS. I now have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for this organization, after being a volunteer for most of my life, helping to support our Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship. For over 25 years, the National AIDS Memorial has stood as a marker in history, and will tell the story of AIDS and the AIDS movement to current and future generations, ensuring that we never again repeat the same mistakes.
As a board member, 80% of the funds I raise through AIDS Walk will directly benefit the National AIDS Memorial, and 20% will benefit other HIV/AIDS organizations. Although a national memorial, the Memorial receives no government funding, so this event provides an opportunity to raise the money needed to maintain the 10-acre Memorial, and advance its mission through its core programs.
I am asking you to help me reach my fundraising goal of $2,500—please click the button below. Your support will not only benefit the National AIDS Memorial, but will mean so much to me personally. Any amount helps!
On behalf of the National AIDS Memorial and SF AIDS Walk, I thank you for your support!
