Family, friends, & coworkers,
First off, thank you for stopping by to check out my page. This year is my 21st year with AIDS WALK SAN FRANCISCO. The very first year I walked was 1999 after loosing a cousin to AIDS in 1998. We were still mourning our loss on this first walk we took. Still filled with sadness every step of the way. Still missing him. Still wanting to hear his laugh. Still waiting for him to walk through the door. Still needing his presence so badly. I made a promise that year to continue to walk no matter what, rain or shine. I have kept my promise to him, and always will. I have informed my kids, when I'm unable to walk, you will stroll me through Golden Gate Park in my wheelchair! LOL :) My niece joined the walk in a stroller at the very young age of 6 months and is now 7 years old. She brings joy, laughter, and fun to the 6.2 mile journey. This year I will attempt to have her dress like a dolphin as our Mascot. I can just hear my cousin on what he would have to say about that... Deb, you are going too damn far now. LOL!!
I walk to end AIDS, and for everyone that has been affected by it. Please consider supporting me by making a donation. Cash and checks also accepted. Sponsor sheet is on my desk on the 4th Floor in Accounting Department. Please make check out to AWSF (AIDS WALK SAN FRANCISCO)
