During med school and residency I've cared for many patients with HIV/AIDS. Though there is not a cure, there are excellent treatments that can help people live healthy, productive lives with normal lifespans.
Unfortunately, many patients still die of AIDS, in part due to barriers to obtaining medical care. San Francisco is leading the way in efforts to make sure everyone who needs treatment gets treatment with awesome programs like this (https://hividgm.ucsf.edu/pop-up).
I am super excited to raise money for HIV/AIDS with the Ward 86 team from San Francisco General Hospital (the first dedicated HIV/AIDS clinic in the world!)
Please help me help my patients and consider donating.
