Positive Being - Healing Through Touch - 0882

Positive Being is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with HIV through healing touch. We foster the integration of the physical, healing, and spiritual nature of our bodies to effect positive change in the health and well-being of those with HIV.

We provide regular low-cost massage to those who would have to do without. Our annual nurturing touch retreat, Exploring the Body Positive, helps to improve body image and reclaim our bodies as a site of well-being and a source of healing strength. . For details on the retreat, visit

Almost all the money we raise goes directly to clients because we are an all-volunteer organization. Positive Being was started by HIV+ massage therapists who care deeply, and our clients are most important still.

Please join us for this fun day in the park! This is one of our favorite events of the year. We'll gather for breakfast, walk together taking in the beautiful scenery of Golden Gate Park and the AIDS Memorial Grove, and have a great picnic lunch.

Feel free to participate as much as you wish - walking the whole route or a short and sweet stroll. If you are busy the day of the walk, you can still be on the team and raise money as a virtual walker. Every dollar counts and it all adds up.

We have fun social events for volunteers throughout the year, so stay tuned, We love our walkers and want to thank you!

So, join the fun and help HIVers feel good in their bodies and lighter in spirit. When you register, please be sure to select our team. After registering , click on the walk with a team button and search for Positive Being-Healing Through Touch.

I look forward to seeing you all there!
