I hope you will join me in supporting the National AIDS Memorial as a virtual walker for the San Francisco AIDS Walk on July 19, 2020. The funds we raise together will go to support the memorial, which through the AIDS Memorial Quilt, the beloved Grove in Golden Gate Park and inspirational programs, works to ensure the lives lost to AIDS are never forgotten.
I've been involved with the the National AIDS Memorial for more than a decade volunteering and working with their amazing team to help tell their stories.
During COVID-19, one of their angels -- Gert McMullin -- has been leading an effort to make thousands of masks out of quilt fabric to ensure that first responders -- our nurses, doctors who were also on the front lines during the AIDS pandemic -- are healthy and safe. It's an example of the amazing heart and soul of this organization and why I'm trying to help.
I hope you take the time to watch and read some of the stories about the National AIDS Memorial I've posted below. Particularly during these difficult times, the support you provide will go a long way in support of its mission and programs.
Thanks in advance for considering joining me for the San Francisco Virtual AIDS Walk.
