Welcome Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page! On the 16th of July, Ali, Sam, will be participating in AIDS Walk San Francisco. After an extended hiatus, I am excited to be returning this year, not just as a participant, but as a co-chair of the National AIDS Memorial's walk team alongside my dear friend, Leslie Ewing.
Earlier this year, I was privileged to join the board of directors of the National AIDS Memorial. This organization now oversees both the AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park and the 50,000-panel AIDS Memorial Quilt. My connection with these two memorials spans many years, and joining the board has reconnected me to their profoundly important work and my hopes for the future.
The work of the National AIDS Memorial continues to be impactful and necessary - to remember and honor those we have lost to AIDS, while educating current and future generations about the pandemic that has left an indelible mark on all of our lives. Participating in AIDS Walk is an easy way to support this work, and I invite you to join me in this endeavor.
Regardless of how you might choose to lend your support - be it through a donation, walking with us by joining our team, or contributing in another meaningful way, know that your contribution will help sustain the Grove and the Quilt. Through your support, you help “remember their names,” and make sure the lessons of the past help ensure a healthier and more equitable future.
Thank you.
