ZSFG Ward 86 is one of the lead beneficiaries of the AIDS Walk San Francisco. Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated!

As the world’s first dedicated HIV outpatient clinic, UC San Francisco’s Ward 86 at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) was founded to fight a fatal, indiscriminate disease that no one understood.

Now, recognizing that homeless and unstably housed individuals living with HIV in San Francisco need dedicated and unique clinical services, Ward 86 has launched its HIV POP-UP (Positive-health Onsite Program for Unstably-housed Populations) clinic—designed to provide urgently needed flexible, low-barrier and comprehensive medical care for this community.

Currently, Ward 86 is a global leader in HIV and infectious disease (ID) care. The practice of “the San Francisco Model” of care—an approach that was developed at Ward 86 and encourages integration and collaboration—has yielded innovations in HIV and ID care, and continues to build our understanding of disease and empower patients to thrive.

This year Ward 86 marks 36 years of providing continuing care for our community. Please support our efforts by registering to walk with us or donating to our team effort at this year's AIDS Walk San Francisco. Together we can make a difference. Thank you for your support!
