For over 35 years I have been actively engaged in the fight to bring an end to HIV/AIDS as well as to ensure the story of injustice, prejudice, discrimination as well as othering is known. Even more importantly, my life's work has been to spotlight the heroic actions of so many who have so selflessly fought to bring action where there was apathy.

This year marks a quarter century since I learned I was HIV+ and over that time my journey has not always been easy but holding the memories of those who gallantly sacrificed so much for those who followed. The AIDS crisis shows us that through community action we can make a difference and that together we are so much stronger and feel so much more empowered!! TODAY we need that spirit!!
