In 2009, I began journey of reclamation, I had reached the point as the say where " I was just tired of being tired" and what I had believed was my solution (drugs and alcohol) no longer worked for me.

I found the Club at a time in my life where I had reached an important crossroad. The insidious thing about addiction of any kind is that even though one my think not relying that something is the common sense thing to do, common sense for me no longer was common. I needed to safe space to reconnect with the world, make mistakes, fall flat on my face and get back up without the judgement that can sometimes come from those that don't understand addiction. The CCC (as it is affectionately called) provided that community for me then and continues to do that for so many today.

The CCC acts a safe and sober community center for any and all who need it. Please check it out when you are in the Castro.
