HOLAAAAA 👋
Sunday, July 21st, I will be walking alongside my daughter and my partner in the AIDS Walk San Francisco 2024 on behalf of Rainbow Community Center! I chose to join the AIDS walk because the fight against AIDS has been an investment in stopping the epidemic. I am walking with Rainbow Community Center as a longtime supporter of the organization and as the center’s HIV Prevention Manager.
RCC provides HIV prevention, education services, and support to those living with HIV throughout Contra Costa County and beyond. We have social and support groups such as POZ Plus, a social group for Spanish speakers where we explore safe sex and HIV prevention topics. We also host special events highlighting our work with HIV support, prevention, and education, such as our Cinco de Mayo event and the World AIDS Day Vigil.
In partnership with Contra Costa County Health Services, we provide free and confidential weekly HIV and STI testing to any community member. Rainbow Community Center offers PrEP referrals through our events and outreach to make sure that low-income, uninsured, undocumented, or other marginalized community members can access free HIV prevention medication.
I aim to raise $1,500 towards RCC and for the AIDS walk by next Sunday- please donate and help me reach my goal!
