Oscar Fabian
Dear friends and colleagues,
Thank you for visiting my AWSF24 page! I’ll be participating in this year’s San Francisco AIDS Walk and will be walking with the National AIDS Memorial team. I Joined the National AIDS Memorial early in 2023 and have loved my experience working here. My colleagues and volunteers inspire me to bring my best and authentic self everyday.
The AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park is a place of healing, remembrance, and reflection; a place consecrated in memory of every life touched by AIDS. The AIDS Memorial Quilt, the largest community folk arts project in the world, is composed of nearly 50,000 hand-made panels that memorialize over 110,000 people who died of AIDS. Our Quilt Display Program brings panels of the Quilt to communities across the world and keeps the stories of AIDS in the forefront of our national conscience.
Together with the AIDS Memorial Grove and the AIDS Memorial Quilt, our engaging programs, including the Surviving Voices - AIDS Story Project, the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship, the Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award, Change the Pattern - Southern U.S. HIV/AIDS Quilt tour, and our annual World AIDS Day National Observance, ensure that all remember the acts of caring, heroism, and kindness, and provide a beacon of hope for future generations.
For more than 30+ years, we remain committed to telling the stories of the AIDS epidemic with dignity, truth, and compassion. Our work is made possible by the generosity and commitment of donors like you.
I’m walking in memory of friends.
I’m walking for social and health justice.
I’m walking for future generations.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all of you for your gifts.
The funds you raise will enable us to continue to tell the stories of all those impacted by HIV/AIDS, ensure the lessons of the AIDS crisis are forever remembered, and provide hope for a brighter tomorrow for future generations.
Your donation will make a difference! Thank you in advance for your support!
