This year, I'm participating in AIDS Walk San Francisco as a virtual walker and fundraising in memory of my uncle, Brian Estrera.

Brian passed away from AIDS during the early years of the epidemic. Growing up, I remember looking up to him as someone who was incredibly charming, funny, and graceful in everything he did.

Although I won't be able to attend the walk in person this year due to a prior commitment, I'll be completing the 5K virtually and supporting the cause from afar.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to honor Brian's memory while supporting organizations that continue to provide care, advocacy, and services for those affected by HIV/AIDS.
