Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Family,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! 2025 marks my 24th year as part of the UCSF AIDS Walk team. I started walking (actually volunteering at the UCSF tent) in 2001 when my colleague, Red, invite me to join the fun... already being a fan of AIDS Walk it was an easy decision. Since then I have fundraised annually (my goal is always to raise over $1000) and invited friends and colleagues to join the festivities. In August 2006, sadly Red passed away. He had HIV, was too afraid to go to the doctor, and his health declined rapidly. When Red passed away, I made a commitment to him (and myself) that as long as I am able I will help UCSF field a team and fundraise for this event. I became the CLS Team Captain the following year.

This year with the retirement of Lisa Cisneros, the UCSF team organizing committee chair, I am now proudly co-chair with my dear colleague from UCSF Global Health, Robert Mansfield. Despite the budget challenges faced at UCSF, we are both committed to a strong UCSF presences and fundraising effort for AIDS Walk San Francisco 2025!
