Last year, after a many year hiatus, I participated in AIDS Walk San Francisco in my new capacity as a Board member of the National AIDS Memorial. The experience of walking again, and witnessing the passion and dedication of walkers 40+ years after this all started, was very moving. The support I received from friends was equally so.

I’m back again this year, inviting your support as Sam, Ali and I join thousands of walkers in Golden Gate Park. I’m walking on behalf of the National AIDS Memorial, which stewards the AIDS Memorial Grove and the AIDS Memorial Quilt. I have long histories with both of these memorials and am honored to be able to serve on the Board, continuing their legacy and ongoing work.
