This morning, I woke up feeling grateful. I’m still riding the energy from last night—helping not one, but two people step into drag for the very first time. It was not only fun, but also a beautiful reminder of the transformative power this art form holds. Watching them evolve into glamorous divas brought back memories of when I first started out. Okay, maybe they weren’t exactly sassy—they were more humble and deeply appreciative of the chance to be part of something that takes both courage and vulnerability. And that, in itself, was powerful. I’m grateful to be part of a community that creates space for connection, growth, and radical self-expression in support of those who are often pushed to the margins. I think about the person who first shared this magic with me, and how profound it was to feel glamorous at a time when I was still learning how to love myself.
