Years ago, I became involved with AIDS Walk by helping Red Mangio in the UCSF tent. When Red passed away, I was asked to help organize the volunteers for the tent, which I did until this year.. well, maybe I'm helping recruit this year, too. I was never as good as Red and still miss him dearly. Red was the best in every way. In August, it will be the 20th year of Red's passing. Rest in peace, my friend. This is my last year officially part of UCSF, I will be leaving the university in June. Well, maybe, I'm not officially part of UCSF, since the event is in July, but I'll be there.
