Hi folks!

If you're visiting this page, you probably already know that I've been raising money for AIDS Walk San Francisco since 1989. And I keep doing it because AIDS isn't over.

During the past two years of the COVID pandemic, HIV services in San Francisco have suffered, as money and resources were diverted. During that time:

* HIV testing is down 44% from2019
* Rates of viral suppression have dropped from 75% to 70%
* PrEP use has decreased, leading to potential new HIV transmissions
* During times of lockdowns, clinic visits decreased, interrupting testing and early treatment
* Long-term survivors of HIV/AIDS suffered from lack of adequate access to affordable housing, harm reduction, mental health care, social housing, and economic assistance

Clearly, we have a lot of work to do. I'm walking in AIDS Walk once again in memory of all those I've lost, but even more for those who are still living with HIV and AIDS, and need our help.

Thank you for your support. I'm just one person, but together, we can make a real difference.

With love and hope,

Joanie Juster

(And, as always, I walk with the spirit of my dear friend Bruce Smith guiding me along the way, telling me "Ask EVERYONE!" )
