National AIDS Memorial - 2916
Dear Walkers and friends,
Thank you for visiting our AIDS Walk San Francisco (AWSF26) team page!
The National AIDS Memorial Grove in Golden Gate Park - a place of hope, healing, and remembrance and the AIDS Memorial Quilt, the largest community folk arts project in the world, composed of 50,000 hand-made panels that memorialize over 110,000 people who died of AIDS.
Together with the AIDS Memorial Grove and the AIDS Memorial Quilt, our engaging programs, including the Surviving Voices, the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship, the Mary Bowman Arts in Activism Award, and our annual World AIDS Day National Observance, ensure that all remember the acts of caring, heroism, and kindness, and provide a beacon of hope for future generations.
YOUR SUPPORT AT WORK - HELP US CONTINUE OUR MEANINGFUL IMPACT:
AIDS Memorial Quilt - The Quilt travels to more than 500 communities annually, directly touching an estimated 1.5 million people. More than 15 million people have viewed its panels at thousands of displays over the past 38 years.
National AIDS Memorial Grove Community Volunteer Workdays - Each year, more than 2,000 volunteers give nearly 7,200 hours of time to help maintain and care for the 10-acre Grove. A milestone of 300,000 volunteer hours was recently achieved.
Our work is made possible by the generosity and commitment of donors like you. Our work honors those who died and their survivors, those living with HIV, and those who fought, and continue to fight against it.
We strive to ensure that the lessons of AIDS and the AIDS movement are known in perpetuity so that never again will our national conscience allow a community to be devastated because of fear, silence, discrimination, or stigma.
A donation of any kind would not only be deeply appreciated, but would be a meaningful gift to help us continue our work and mission. We were the #1 fundraising team for the 9th consecutive time in 2025 and we are aiming to maintain the title for the 10th time - with your help of course.
The funds raised via AIDS Walk San Francisco will enable us to continue to tell the stories of all those impacted by HIV/AIDS, ensure the lessons of the AIDS crisis are forever remembered, and provide hope for a brighter tomorrow for future generations.
Your donation will make a difference! A huge "thank you" in advance for your consideration and support. Together we can make a difference!
