Can you believe that I have actually had someone tell me that AIDS was over??? It fucking blew my mind to hear someone say that, to hear someone believe that. We are now in the middle of TWO pandemics (at least), and even the queer community is all too willing to brush the first one under the rug, to forget about what it did and is still doing to our community and other communities, as well.

I have known and loved many people living with AIDS and HIV, some who are still with us and some who aren't. I am beyond proud to be a member of the SFGoth AIDSwalk team in its 25th year, hoping to set a new record for its donations. Please help by pitching in what you can: a dollar, $5, $60, $900, whatever you can and wish to do. If you can and wish, please consider maximizing the amount of your donation (according to your financial situtation); if you need or want to give a donation that's a little bit easier for you to fit into your budget, please please please do so.
