UCSF - Ward 86 - 0098

As the world’s first dedicated HIV outpatient clinic, UC San Francisco’s Ward 86 at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) was founded to fight a fatal, indiscriminate disease that no one understood.

Today, Ward 86 is a global leader in HIV and infectious disease (ID) care. The practice of “the San Francisco Model” of care—an approach that was developed at Ward 86 and encourages integration and collaboration—has yielded innovations in HIV and ID care, and continues to build our understanding of disease and empower patients to thrive.

In 2018, Ward 86 celebrates 35 years of leading HIV care. Please support us by registering or donating to AIDS Walk San Francisco. Together we can make a difference. Thank you for your support!
